As Geeks we are expected to have a certain set of skills that the majority of the population does not possess.

Updated :: After receiving some harsh comments by some idiotic morons who don’t even bother to read the full post let me tell you I am not here advocating any hacking here ..Read the post carefully before commenting… don’t try this… this technique was used by some cheap hacker on ORKUT… I am just mentioning it so that you people don’t try it. If you try this you will lose your own password. There are many sites which says you can hack Gmail, Yahoo, orkut or any other site just by following the steps like these I have given below.. Ironically you will get yourself hacked by following these steps.

Well, yesterday I was going through one of the hacking communities just for checking if any new hacking script has come up or not. I saw a topic named “How To hack Gmail, Yahoo, Facebook, Orkut, Twitter, Hotmail passwords ?” Out of curiousity when I opened it, it made me laugh aloud. I mean some anonymous guy posting a topic like that seemed totally absurd and that too a cheap phishing technique probably used during the early ninties

check out what was posted in that topic..

How To hack Gmail, Yahoo, Facebook, Orkut, Twitter, Hotmail passwords ??

~~~
It is possible and it is easy. This way of hacking into any kind of account was brought to my attention by my friend working in microsoft,in animation cell. you have to just…
STEP 1- Log in to your own Gmail/ Yahoo or hotmail account. Note: Your account must be at least 1 weeks old for this trick to work.
STEP 2- Once you have logged into your own account, compose/write an e-mail to: ############################# (removed the mail id which was written because ppl were actually trying it )..depending on which account you want to hack..These is the mailing address to the automated server that sends out passwords to users who have forgotten them. What you are going to do is trick the server into thinking that it is sending your password to you but it will send you the pass for the account you are trying to hack instead.
STEP 3- In the subject line type exactly: “userpassword retrieve” (case sensative, without the inverted commas)
STEP 4- On the first line of your mail write the email address of the person you are hacking.
STEP 5- On the second line type in the e-mail address you are using.
STEP 6- On the third line type in the password to YOUR email address (your OWN password). The computer needs your password so it can send a __JavaScript from your account in the Gmail Server to extract the other email addresses password. This works because you are sending your password to a machine not a person. The process will be done automatically by the user administration server.
STEP 7- The final step before sending the mail is, type on the fourth line the following code exactly:
2SUGm9qwM482SUGm9qwM48
~~~

This is a cheap technique to lure innocent people who want to learn hacking or want to hack someone’s mail. These types of posts actually are posted in forums or some other sites asking people to send some details along with their own password to a email address which looks like an admin mail address. The truth is that the given email address itself is created by the person who posts the technique. So when people try to send the mail address they want to hack along with their own password they themselves get hacked because the password is sent to the person’s mail. So the Hunter gets hunted.

Some points before you comment here:

I am not a hacker so please don’t leave a comment asking me to hack that mail for you. I am least bothered if your girlfriend / Boyfriend betrayed you, I am not going to hack any emails for you. This Post was just to inform you guys that if you people try to hack Gmail / Yahoo or any other email through the above method your account would get hacked .

So Be careful before you try all the nonsense that you read. Stop Searching for things like hacking Gmail, hacking Yahoo. These are well secured sites and you cant hack through them just by following some lame steps given in a site or a forum. You cant hack just overnight, It takes years to master the art of hacking so please please please stop thinking that you would be able to hack through accounts just by Googling it over the web.

So let me guess you have infected your system and tried many solutions to clean it. There are many ways to clean the system and of course the final step is to Format the PC which no one of us wants to do.

After receiving a problem from a user, I think I should discuss what I would have done to clean the system.

Steps to clean the system:

1. The first and the foremost step, is to prevent the system from getting infected. So scan the media like CD, Pen Drive etc before connecting it to the computer with a good and updated Anti Virus.

2. The above step will take out most of the threats but if it doesn’t then follow this post.

3. But if your computer gets infected any how, then again scan the computer though it will be not effective as earlier.

4. So if you know the name of the virus that is spreading then it would be easier to remove from the system. Say the virus is “newfolder.exe” then first kill the virus from the task manager.

5. Now type “msconfig” in cmd and remove the “newfolder.exe” from the startup list (if any).

6. Now in the cmd, type the following commands:
cd\ (to go in the root drive)
cd windows\system32 (hit enter)
attrib -s -h –r newfolder.exe (hit enter)
del newfolder.exe (hit enter)

7. This would have deleted the virus though there are different steps to manually remove the different viruses.

8. But even after trying the above steps the system is infected then resort to Formatting only. To format the PC properly read this post.

Any thoughts?

You can easily do that using the Privacy settings of Orkut.

During all those years of surfing Orkut, I found that we can surf the Orkut anonymously without becoming the other person’s profile visitor by turning our Profile Visitor option to “hide”. The big advantage of this setting (and actually why I am writing this post) is that it does not take time and starts instantly.

Steps:

1. Click on Settings option of your account.

2. Now go to Privacy tab.

3. Click on “hide profile visits” button inside “profile visitors” option.

Now you can start surfing the Orkut anonymously without leaving any traces of your visit to other person’s profile.

Windows places various shortcut icons on the desktop, which are actually pointers to some file or application located elsewhere on the disk. You would notice a small arrow on the bottom left of the shortcut. This little arrow signifies that the icon is, indeed, a shortcut and not an icon.

So if you are annoyed seeing these useless arrows or just wish to remove it from the shortcut icons then yes, you can certainly do that. There are few tools also available that can do the same thing but I don’t believe in installing some software when you can do the same thing manually and easily.

NOTE: Since following steps involve Registry Tweak, it is suggested that you backup your registry before doing these to undo any changes that you don’t like.

Steps:

• Type regedit in the Run box to open registry editor.

• Navigate to the following keys

HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT\lnkfile
HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT\piffile
HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT\InternetShortcut

• Delete the IsShortcut key (if you are facing problems in finding that entry then you can also search them) from each of them.

Reboot to see the deleted arrows from the shortcuts.

Got a problem faced by one of our readers that when after logging 10 computers, he tries to access some file or printer shared on the network, he gets this message saying that:

“No more connections can be made to this remote computer at this time because there are already as many connections as the computer can accept”.

Causes of this problem:

There are several versions of Windows XP released by Microsoft and the most common of them are XP Professional and XP Home. But Microsoft has put certain restrictions on these products (you may call it, deliberately) so that the users upgrade to its better versions.

While sharing a file or printer, there is a limit on how many users can access the shared resource from the Local Area Network (LAN) simultaneously. Microsoft has restricted the number of remote connections to be 10 for XP Professional and 5 for XP Home editions.

You can check yours by running the following command in cmd
net config server

What you can do now:

• Upgrade to a Windows Server license that supports more network connections than XP Professional and Home editions.

• Decrease the timeout period, to close unused connections faster (Default 15 minutes)
net config server /autodisconnect:1

this will allot the time of 1 minute.

• Use more computers to share the same file or printer (not that effective but can be handy).

• Make another network to share the same thing.

Bluesoleil is the most popular Bluetooth device driver used by many of us today to sync our computer with our mobile phones using the Bluetooth technology. It can create a small network between our cell phone and our PC that enables us to transfer any file between our PC and the mobile phone.

But there are many of us who are facing difficulties in using this program, as was with one of our readers. So here goes the list of steps that will make the things easier to use this application.

Steps:

From computer to phone:
1. It is assumed that you have installed some version of Bluesoleil in your computer (if not then get that from here). Start the Bluesoleil application.

2. Start the Bluetooth service on your computer (use a Bluetooth Dongle if there is no Bluetooth by default).

3. Also start the Bluetooth services on your phone.

4. Now double click on the Orange ball in the center of the main Bluesoleil page, your phone should get listed here.

5. Also add this computer on your Bluetooth device list on your phone (use a password for reliable transfer).

6. Now double click the phone on the Bluesoleil page, when you notice the icons on the top you will see that the ones that will work for your phone will highlight.

7. Double click the file transfer icon that will open a new window, drag and drop any item (compatible with your phone) to this window which will ultimately show up in your phone.

From phone to computer:

After you follow the first 6 steps, perform these
7. To send the file you want to transfer via Bluetooth, click on “send via” (or something like that).

8. The files would automatically show up in the Bluetooth folder in the My Documents on the PC.

Alternatively, you could use Windows default Bluetooth service which is also easy to use (run “fsquirt” command in the run box and just follow the instructions).

This is a common problem these days that the option of “Show hidden files and folders” always gets reset each time when we set it to show the hidden files. This is sure a case of infected system either with Trojan or virus.

Possibly the system is infected by a virus named “amvo.exe”. So let’s remove this first to be on a safer side.

Steps to remove amvo.exe:

1. We need to delete following files
•    amvo.exe
•    amvo0.dll
•    amvo1.dll

2. Open command prompt by typing cmd in the Run box. Then type
•    cd windows\system32
•    attrib -s -h -r amvo*.*
•    del amvo*.*

Steps to fix the problem:

1. Now open registry editor and navigate to the entry HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Explorer\Advanced\Folders\Hidden\SHOWALL

2. On the right side see the entry named “CheckedValue”, if the value is set to ‘0′ change it to ‘1′.

3. The “DefaultValue” under the “CheckedValue” should be set to ‘2′.

4. Click Refresh under the view tab and if the entries the same that we set just now that means the problem is solved.

Both types of devices not only differ physically but also as far as operation system is concerned. The better you know which functions you are going to use on a frequent base, the easier it is to make your choice.

Differences between PDA & Smartphone

PDA & Smartphone devices

The market for PDAs that won’t let you call but only use email and visit the Internet decreased drastically. Most current PDAs are handheld computers that also offer the option to call. Smartphones on the other hand are primary meant for calling but are more and more used for all kinds of business like keeping an electronic agenda, photographing, music and Internet. Nokia’s smartphones indicate clearly how much attention Nokia paid to the manner of using the device for calling. PDA calling functions work just a tad more difficult but on the other hand it is easier to manage incoming and outgoing mail. These are the differences between Symbian and Windows Mobile explained in a nutshell. So it is not surprising Nokia as a cell phone manufacturer holds on to Symbian.

Differences Symbian & Windows Mobile

Operating systems for mobile devices

The most recent versions of both operating systems show that the differences are becoming less evident and that the disadvantages of both systems are also vanishing. Looking at Nokia’s most advanced device, the Nokia E90 Communicator, you can hardly claim that this device is not fully equipped with every function you need for comfortable email and Internet use. Nowadays a lot is changing which is also proved by the choices manufacturers of these devices make. Palm, the mother of all operating systems for PDAs is overtaken like greased lightning by Microsoft Windows Mobile as a result of which Palm devices are now available working with Windows Mobile. Symbian however is the great winner. This system, together with Windows mobile, doesn’t have to fret about any competition from the small camps such as Linux. Following Palm’s example also Motorola has adopted Windows Mobile. Samsung did the same thing a while ago. And nowadays Samsung leaves the choice up to the consumer and offers devices with both Windows Mobile and Symbian.

Windows Mobile operating system

Stable & Fast operating system

If you have used an earlier version of Windows Mobile before, you will be aware of the fact that this operating system of Microsoft took a huge leap. Especially concerning the stability. When stability is at stake, a user will give up on that system immediately. Concerning the speed of the operating system, a lot has been altered. And this becomes clear when you switch between the various applications. Certainly the heavy ones like navigation. You will then notice that the speed has improved tremendously. The main advantage of PDAs with Windows Mobile is the familiarity for consumers using Windows on their notebook or desktop. The user can open and edit Word and Excel applications the same way as he is used to doing on his normal computer.

Microsoft Windows Mobile

Memory management

Furthermore, version 5.0 ended all criticism on how appointments and contacts had to be inserted. Too many steps had to be made before the appointment or contact was inserted. Also memory management has been strongly improved. All non-Microsoft applications are closed when the user starts a different application. Main differences between the latest and previous version of Windows Mobile are improvements of the security and the fact more possibilities are offered from the device management. It allows for deleting data from a distance, for example when the device is missing or worse, got stolen. Storage-card encryption is used to prevent data from falling into the wrong hands. Third parties can no longer get access to data of others.

Windows Mobile 6.0 Email

Exchange mail

Symbian may have a very powerful operating system that offers many advantages; Microsoft’s OS offers just a bit more with the introduction of Windows Mobile 6.0 especially on the field of email functionality. Users of Exchange mail are opted to set an automatic out of office reply to the sender of an email on the device itself. Normally you would only be able to use this option on your computer.

Microsoft Mobile E-mail

HTML-mail

From the device one can search for specific words in mail messages through the Exchange server. Windows Mobile currently offers additional possibilities like access to HTML-mail, forwarding a meeting request and viewing Windows Life content whereas Symbian doesn’t. Thanks to all these possibilities, handsets equipped with Windows Mobile are able to compete with the popular BlackBerry phones in today’s business market.

Symbian operating system

Stable & Low energy consumption

The advantages of Symbian are found mostly in the stability of the devices and the low energy consumption. Microsoft is slowly improving the latter. If you want to save the battery you have to be careful with energy-slurping options on both operating systems such as Bluetooth, WiFi and GPS.

Symbian OS

Bluetooth connection

Fortunately both operating systems offer the possibility of quickly turning these functions on and off which is recommendable for more than one reason. Malicious people could easily get access to data through Bluetooth or even place viruses on the user’s device.

Ease of use

QWERTY-keyboard

It is extremely important to know what the purpose is of your purchase before actually purchasing a device or system. And of course size plays a big role in your decision. A QWERTY-keyboard can be very handy but it makes a device larger and heavier. For short messages the keyboard will be useful but for long messages it might be easier to purchase an external keyboard. Both operating systems offer this possibility. Using Bluetooth makes it easy to connect the keyboard to the device.

Functionality

Monitor size & Operation

If you have a heavy workload and you don’t want to carry a weighty notebook with you, you could go for the HTC Advantage with Windows Mobile 6.0 in combination with a light weighted cell phone. In general you will find; the more functionality the heavier the device. It’s also wise to think about the right monitor size for your purpose and the way of operating the device. HP told us that the amount of users preferring a touchscreen is almost similar to the amount of users preferring a keyboard. In any case, make sure to go for your personal preference.

Conclusion

I f you are still unable to make up your mind as to purchase a smartphone with Windows Mobile or Symbian, you should ask yourself how you want to use the device. WiFi and Bluetooth will slurp up a lot of the battery’s capacity. So if you want to go for days without recharging the battery, either because you can’t or you won’t, you’d better go for a Symbian. Windows users, on the other hand, are very familiar with the applications Windows Mobile offers. And Apple-fans should go for the Apple iPhone! The possibilities of both operating systems are quite similar and the one is not specifically better than the other as far as possibilities are concerned.

Nokia iPhone

When talking about mobile phone, we have to admit Nokia 5800 XpressMusic is a perfect generation. Now more and more people feel honorable to own a Nokia 5800 XpressMusic. How can this cell phone attract so many eyeballs? What kind of magic does it have. Now let’s find out the secrets of Nokia 5800 XpressMusic.

The Nokia 5800 XpressMusic is a S60 5th Edition device with a resistive touch screen and tactile feedback. The device has a large 3,2“, bright nHD (640 x 360 pixels and 16:9 aspect ratio) color display. The device has variety of input methods: stylus, plectrum and finger touch support for text input and UI control (alphanumeric keypad, full and mini qwerty keyboard, handwriting recognition). Use the Nokia 5800 XpressMusic to connect to mobile broadband using WLAN or HSDPA (3.5G). Find directions and locations with the integrated A-GPS and included maps. Additional features include a 3.2 megapixel camera with dual LED flash, Bluetooth 2.0 +EDR, and USB 2.0 High-Speed. Supported WCDMA frequencies depend on the region where the device is available.

Nokia 5800 XpressMusic is available in three versions — European HSDPA, North American HSDPA, and GSM only — and ships this quarter in black, red, and blue for €279 (about $392) unlocked with an 8GB card thrown in for good measure. Music fans with voracious appetites for new tunes might want to hold out, though, for the Comes With Music-equipped version that follows on “early next year” at a to-be-announced price.
